The North West Thunder have re-signed head coach Sam Armstrong for the next two NBL-1 South Conference basketball seasons, with the club life member set to remain at the helm at least until the end of the 2026 season.
Thunder chair James Leslie says the appointment gives the club certainty going forward knowing it has a very strong leader and someone the club trusts to provide a great platform for young Coastal basketballers to aspire to.
The Thunder finished 14th in the 19-team competition with nine wins and 13 losses, missing out on a top eight spot and finals.
Armstrong says next season will be as competitive as ever and The Thunder need a style of play which is going to equip the team to put the best possible team on the court to win more games.
