Dulverton organic waste facility to divert 7500 tonnes a year of waste from landfill

Organic waste from the North-West Coast which would otherwise be sent to landfill can now be processed at Dulverton near Latrobe.

The $32 million Dulverton Organics Treatment Facility has been opened and is expected to divert 7500 tonnes of waste away from landfill annually.

Much of it will come from food organic garden organic, or FOGO, waste, recently introduced in the Devonport, Kentish, Latrobe and Waratah-Wynyard municipalities, as well as from central Coast, which has had FOGO since 2019.
