Until the 31st of July, Sea FM is running a major fundraising event... the Koinz 4 Kidz Appeal.
This year we’ll be helping Cancer Council Tasmania (CCT) to support young people impacted by cancer on the North West Coast. Families of children and young adults often have to move interstate for treatment, meaning families are often separated. One or both parents often take a leave of absence from work, whether they have access to paid leave or not. Treatment interstate means families have to be separated for long periods of time when they most need to remain together.
Cancer Council Tasmania provides a number of financial services to help families/patients with this impact. From upfront payments for families when a child is diagnosed to assist with the expenses and stresses of diagnosis to funds for assistance with interstate travel. Additionally CCT provide one off payments for bill payments as well.
Koinz 4 Kidz will allow CCT to increase the amount of funding allocated to these families.
Every Tasmanian has a cancer story. Nine Tasmanians a day are diagnosed with cancer. All funds raised for CCT stay in Tasmania.
Sea FM feels strongly about this cause and takes pride in making a contribution.
