In the story an ambitious urban redevelopment plan is transforming the metropolis into a harmonious haven for both people and Pokémon. Compared to its depiction in the Pokémon X and Pokémon Y games from 2013, the city now showcases a vibrant blend of greenery and cutting-edge facilities, reflecting its evolution into a more dynamic and inviting space.

Lumiose City beautifully balances bustling urban life with tranquil natural elements. Shopping arcades, cafés, and restaurants thrive alongside serene waterfronts and lush parks, creating a cityscape where modernity and nature coexist seamlessly. At its heart stands Prism Tower, an iconic landmark and the enduring symbol of Lumiose City’s charm and vitality.

In previous Pokémon games, battles followed a turn-based system where each Pokémon acted once per turn. However, in Pokémon Legends: Z‑A, battles unfold in real time, allowing Trainers and their Pokémon to move dynamically, with Pokémon executing moves instantly upon their Trainer’s command.

Beyond traditional type matchups, this game introduces new strategic elements. Players must carefully time when to swap Pokémon or use moves, consider the varying durations required to launch different moves, and account for the size of each move’s area of effect. This innovative approach to Pokémon battles brings an exciting, unprecedented layer of strategy to the series, making it one of the most thrilling aspects of the game.

The game is set for release later this year.

We also got our first look at Metroid Prime 4 gameplay during the Nintendo Direct, and it did not disappoint. The game is set on Planet Viewros, a mysterious and visually stunning world filled with diverse environments and challenges. We saw Samus Aran, equipped with her iconic Power Suit, taking on a variety of enemies across the planet.

The gameplay showcased intense combat, exploration of alien landscapes, and hints of new upgrades and abilities. Fans can look forward to a thrilling adventure as Samus uncovers the secrets of Planet Viewros while battling familiar foes and new threats.

Samus will harness ancient psychic powers to manipulate mechanisms, unlock doors, and precisely control the trajectory of her beams—all with the strength of her mind.

No specific release date was provided beyond 2025, and there was no mention of a Nintendo Switch 2 version.
