As a parent of two little girls I’ve seen first-hand the powerful hold that the Kpop Demon Hunters have over my kids with their actually surprisingly well-made film and incredibly catchy soundtrack that is taking the Australian charts by storm.
So in a frenzy to be the “best parent I can be” I set out to find something for birthdays and Christmas this year. But has anyone noticed the serious lack of official merchandise there is available to buy? I mean, Temu has some stuff that kind of looks like them, but instead it’s probably something like “K-prop Demon Slay-er Robotic Dancers” or something.
Apparently “Mattel Creations” are working on some K-pop themed Barbies that you can probably mortgage your house for when they come out. As the “creation” range are more “collectable” than “playable” especially if they carry the “signature” range branding, think somewhere between $70 to $130 per doll, unless they drop some different models as well or just really surprise us. But for those of us who are on more of a modest budget then look out for the ones coming from pop culture collectible company, Funko, who are thrilling K-Pop fans with the launch of its new “K-Pop Demon Hunters” collectible collection, inspired by the record-breaking Netflix movie.
