Over the weekend, Dave Grohl made an unexpected appearance at Oakwood Live, a school benefit in Los Angeles. The Foo Fighters frontman was joined on stage by bandmate Rami Jaffee, drummer Wiley Hodgen, and bassist/vocalist John Lousteau for an energetic five-song set of covers.

The performance kicked off with a lively rendition of LCD Soundsystem’s “Daft Punk Is Playing at My House.” Grohl and his bandmates then delivered a spirited take on The Knack‘s classic “My Sharona,” followed by a rousing performance of Queen and David Bowie’s iconic “Under Pressure,” featuring Luke Spiller from The Struts. The set continued with a powerful version of Bowie’s “Moonage Daydream,” this time joined by singer-songwriter Lisa Loeb.
