Two 17 year-olds have been charged after allegedly evading police in a stolen car in the Midlands on Sunday 21st January.
Police say a white Toyota Camry – believed to be stolen from Launceston – was spotted speeding along the Midland Highway at around 3:30pm, before evading police on Mud Walls Road near Jericho.
It’s alleged the vehicle crossed onto the wrong side of the road, and travelling at 160km/h. It was then abandoned at a rural property on Lovely Banks Road – with two boys apprehended nearby.
They’ve been charged with motor vehicle stealing and trespassing, among other offences.
Anyone with information or dashcam footage of the Camry is asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
