Yacht death investigation continues

Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of a 59-year-old Launceston man who fell from a yacht in the state’s north.

Police say poor weather could have played a part in the incident – with “windy and choppy” conditions at Badgers Head at the time.

Police have revelaed that the man and an 18-year-old female relative who was with him at the time were not wearing life jackets.

There are no suspicious circumstances at this stage, police said.
