Non-essential Ambulance Tasmania staff who were told they were paid a thousand dollar Covid bonus in error and would have to hand it back have been given a reprieve.
Under fire over the Health Department mix up in parliament, the Premier aplogised in question time but didn’t back down on the money being clawed back.
A little while later the Premier made an about face and decided the workers can hold onto the money.
