The Tasmanian Symphony will return to Devonport in February for its second Symphony on the Waterfront performance.
The orchestra performed in front of more than 5000 people last year for the official opening of the Haines Waterfront Park, a key element of the Devonport Living City project.
Last year’s event drew visitors in from all over the state and Devonport Mayor Alison Jarman says she expects next year’s concert to be just as big, if not bigger.
As was the case last year, the event will also be free, thanks to sponsorship from St Lukes Health.
Councillor Jarman says the concert offers a rare opportunity for residents and visitors to enjoy a world-class symphony performance in an idyllic outdoor setting.
TSO CEO Caroline Sharpen says the 2023 event created unforgettable experiences for the musicians and audience and the orchestra is excited to be returning in February.
