Tasmania’s Covid-19 death toll climbs to 137

Tasmania’s Coronavirus toll has climbed once more, following the deaths of four people.

A woman in her 90s in the South, a man in his 90s in the North, a man in his 70s and a woman in her 80s in the North West have all passed away from Covid-19.

Their deaths take the tragic register to 137 since the pandemic began.

Public Health is reporting 1,175 new Covid-19 cases overnight.

176 people are in hospital with Covid-19, 44 of those people being treated specifically for Coronavirus symptoms.

Four patients are being cared for in the ICU.

625 people are using the COVID@Homeplus program.

There are now 7,549 active cases being monitored across the state.

More than 220,000 Tasmanians have now recovered from Covid-19.
