Tasmania’s Coronavirus toll has reached 170 this week.

A man in his 80’s has passed away in the South of the State, the Premier expressing his sincere condolences.

The news follows 487 new cases emerging in the past 24 hours.

There are 60 people in public hospital with Covid-19, 20 of those patients are being treated specifically for symptoms.

Four people are being cared for in the ICU.

293 people are using the COVID@homeplus program, three patients are receiving treatment in Community Case Management Facilities.

Public Health is monitoring 2,885 active cases across the state, 1,555 of those in the South.

717 can be found in the North, 520 in the North West.
