The Tasmanian Masters Games were last held in 1994, also on the North-West Coast.

The games will cater for sports including wheelchair basketball and ranging from traditional sports like athletics, swimming and basketball to mountain bike riding, woodchopping and lesser-known sports like pickleball.

Organisers expect the games will generate an estimated $1.5 million dollars into the Tasmanian economy, particularly in the North-West.
