The Port of Devonport has been certified by EcoPorts, a worldwide environmental and sustainability standard.
It’s Tasmania’s first port to receive the acknowledgement and the third in Australia behind Newcastle and Geelong.
Tasports has signed a charter with the Spirit of Tasmania and Hazell Brady to protect the local environment during construction of the 240 million QuayLink project at East Devonport.

It also plans to achieve EcoPorts accreditation for ports at Burnie, Hobart and Bells Bay this financial year.
