Tasmania Police is again warning people to be wary of a potential driveway scam operating in the state.
The scammers operate nationally, however police received multiple reports last month suggesting they were operating in the north of the state.
The group has been known to offer both businesses and residents discounted driveway repairs, or roof painting services.
In some cases, they have completed the work despite the business or resident declining the offer, using intimidation tactics and providing what appears to be a legitimate business card or invoice.
This week, Latrobe Police located and seized a stolen bobcat and trailer believed to be linked to the group in Sheffield.
Following the seizure, police received a report of the group undertaking work in Railton.
Police urge everyone to be wary of unsolicited approaches of this nature and to contact police immediately if they feel unsafe or threatened.
Information in relation to this group can also be provided to police by calling 131 444 or Crime Stoppers anonymously on 1800 333 000 or via Crime Stoppers.
Anyone who has been scammed online or has received a scam attempt can report the incident to Scamwatch.
