Tenders have been called for the design of the new Devonport Campus of the North West Support School.
The new campus, which will be located adjacent to the Spreyton Primary School, will cost around $60 million to complete.
The State Government will also fund more than $3 million in upgrades to the Burnie campus, after initial plans to relocate both campuses to a single location at Penguin received considerable community backlash.

Education Minister Jo Palmer says the Government wants to ensure students with disabilities have access to the best, modern facilities which cater for their diverse needs.
She says successful tenders for the Devonport design and Burnie upgrades are expected to be announced early in the New Year.
