A pedestrian in Burnie has been killed on the Bass Highway.
The man from Wynyard aged in his 70s was hit by a log truck at around 1.45pm today (Friday).
Diversions were implemented on the Highway and Wilson and Ladbrooke Streets.

Inspector Gary Williams has updated the circumstances.
“The log truck driver was taken to North West Regional Hospital suffering some shock, he was also taken to comply with the road safety alcohol and drug requirements.”
