21 new police officers have hit the streets this week, including seven on the North-West Coast as part of the latest Tasmania Police recruit graduation class.
The 15 men and six women come from a diverse range of backgrounds and range in ages from 18 to 42.
The latest graduation is the seventh intake of new police constables in Tasmania this week, with 40 more currently in training and another 44 recruits to start training next month.
Police and Emergency Services Minister and Braddon MP Felix Ellis says there’s record numbers of Tasmanian Police being employed and the State Government is committed to recruiting even more.
Mr Ellis says the diversity and ages of the latest graduating class shows policing is a valid career option for anyone with the right attitude and values.
