One of the Royal Australian Navy’s six Australian-built Huon Class mine-hunters will dock in Devonport this morning.

The HMAS Huon 2, commanded by Tasmanian-born Lieutenant Commander Beau Mulraney and 46 crew will be in port until Sunday before sailing to Hobart.

The Huon 2 is considered the most advanced vessel of its type in the world and was the first one built for the RAN, followed by the HMAS Yarra, and four others also named after Australian rivers.
