Tasmanians are being urged to fill up ahead of the Easter long weekend, with petrol prices dropping across the country.
All capital cities except Canberra have reported falling prices in the lead up to Easter.
However we are being warned the reprieve will be short lived, with prices expected to go up again next week.
In the meantime, Camdale, in Burnie, has the cheapest petrol in the state, according to the State Government’s Fuel Check Tas app and website.
Camdale United is currently selling 91 unleaded for 188.5 cents a litre – well below the state average of 202.5.
Devonport’s cheapest fuel is at Shell East Devonport, at 193.9, with the best in the Central Coast region at 197.9 cents a litre at United Ulverstone.
The cheapest fuel on the West Coast is at Astron Zeehan, currently listed as 205.9 cents a litre.
