Tasmania Police has confirmed the death of a man following a house fire on Goulburn Street in Hobart earlier this month.
Emergency services were called to the scene about 10:45am on Sunday 2 June. While firefighters managed to contain the blaze, a residential unit within the building was fully destroyed.
A 64-year-old man was taken to the Royal Hobart Hospital with serious injuries and has since died.

While the cause of the fire remains under investigation, a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
