Festival Chairman Tim Munro applauds the government for recognising its cultural and financial value.

“The Festival brings nearly 3000 people into the state and they stay about seven nights, that’s a huge contribution, it’s the oldest winter festival and it’s a joyful celebration of song for those from interstate and also for locals.”

Over the next three years the festival will include events in the Huon, Tasman Peninsula and Derwent Valley as well as in the North and North-West of the State.
