Former Liberal Party member Lara Alexander has confirmed she will run again at the next state election.
It comes as Premier Jeremy Rockliff is expected to visit Government House to ask that the election be called early.
His decision follows a number of weeks of tense discussion with both Ms Alexander and fellow independent John Tucker over confidence and supply.

Member for Bass Ms Alexander has taken to social media to confirm she intends to run as an independent in the election.
At this stage there has not been confirmation of Mr Tucker’s intentions.
