The State Government is seeking public feedback on proposed improvements to the Bass Highway West of Wynyard.
Works are expected to start by the end of the year on sections of the highway in the Fowerdale, Rocky Cape, Edgecumbe Beach and Detention River areas.
Plans are on display at the Circular Head and Waratah-Wynyard Council offices, as well as on the Transport Tasmania website, with submissions closing on June 17th.
Meanwhile, feedback on upgrades to the highway East of Latrobe, between Devonport and Launceston, in particular between Latrobe and Deloraine, closed earlier this month, with the Department of State Growth now evaluating the feedback.
The Federal Government has committed $40 million to the upgrades, with the State Government chipping in $10 million.
The proposed upgrades will include road widening, installation of median safety barriers and new safer turning opportunities.
