A second day of searching hasn’t found a Victorian man in Tasmania’s Cradle Mountain area.
Tasmania Police, SES and Parks and Wildlife Service search and rescue teams are scourging bushland, with helicopters conducting searches from the air.
Concerns for the welfare of 52 year old Christopher Inwood were raised yesterday morning (Tuesday) when his van was found in the car park of the ranger station and his backpack around half a kilometre away on Cradle Mountain Road.

Police have confirmed his last sighting was on Monday night at Kindred in the state’s north west.
Anyone who has information that could assist police locating Mr Inwood is urged to come forward.
