Tasmania’s Covid-19 numbers have dropped to their lowest point in nine months.
101 new infections have been recorded overnight, a drop from yesterday’s 115.
30 people are in hospital with Covid-19, 12 of those patients being treated specifically for symptoms.
One Covid-positive person is being cared for in the ICU.
121 people are using the COVID@homeplus program.
The pandemic toll sits at 181 since the pandemic began in 2020.
Public Health is monitoring 1,081 active cases state wide, 503 of those cases found in the South.
The current risk of Covid-19 in the community is moderate.
Premier Jeremy Rockliff is reminding Tasmanians of the importance of reporting positive test results.
Locals who test positive for Coronavirus can register your test here, or by calling the Public Health Hotline on 1800 671 738 to ensure you have access to COVID@homeplus if you require it, as well as access to anti-viral medications if you are eligible.
In the meantime, Public Health has recommended wearing a mask in all indoor public places and on public transport, and in other settings, if you can’t physically distance.
Masks must still be worn in all our public hospitals.
