Tasmania continues to buck the Winter trend, with Coronavirus stats falling once again.
208 new infections have been recorded in the past 24 hours, the figure dropping from yesterday’s 309.
36 people are in hospital with Covid-19 statewide, 13 of those patients being treated specifically for symptoms.
One Covid-positive patient is in the public ICU.
180 people are using the COVID@Homeplus program.
Public Health is monitoring 1,534 active cases statewide.
177 Tasmanians have passed away from Covid-19 since the pandemic began.
The current risk of Covid-19 in the community is moderate.
Premier Jeremy Rockliff is reminding Tasmanians of the importance of reporting positive test results.
Locals who test positive for Coronavirus can register your test here, or by calling the Public Health Hotline on 1800 671 738 to ensure you have access to COVID@homeplus if you require it, as well as access to anti-viral medications if you are eligible.
In the meantime, Public Health has recommended wearing a mask in all indoor public places and on public transport, and in other settings, if you can’t physically distance.
Masks must still be worn in all our public hospitals.
