Dairy products from the North-West Coast have been recognised as some of the best in Australia at the Australian Grand Dairy Awards.
Duck River Premium Butter, manufactured at Spreyton by Fonterra was named champion butter for the second year in a row.
Meanwhile, Heidi Farm Cheese Tilsit, made in Burnie by Saputo Dairy, was named a finalist in the best semi-hard cheese and King Island Dairy Stokes Point Smoked Cheddar was a finalist in the flavoured cheese section.

Coal River Farm’s Ashed Brie from the South of the state was the only other Tasmanian winner, taking out the champion white mould cheese award.
