The 2024 Tasmanian Christmas Carnivals Series officially kicks off on the West Coast at Rosebery.
The 68th running of the time-honoured carnival will include cycling, running, woodcopping and rock drilling.
The rock drilling will feature the Tasmanian championship, while the Tasmanian 400mm underhand championship will be the main event on the woodchopping programme.
The compact 50-event programme starts at 11am and runs through until 2.45 pm.
The action will head to Hobart on December 27th for the Bikes and Spikes Carnival, the Launceston Cycling Carnival on December 28th, The Devonport Carnival on December 29th and the Burnie New Year’s Eve Carnival on December 31.
Cycling criterium street races will also form part of the series in Launceston on Boxing Day and Ulverstone on December 30th.
