If you’re considering bushwalking in Western or Central Plateau areas of the state on Wednesday, Tasmania police is urging you to reconsider due to the forecast weather conditions.
The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a Bushwalkers Weather Alert, with snow as low as 600 metres expected during Wednesday in parts of the Western and Central Plateau areas.
Police say if you do go bushwalking – make sure you’re properly prepared with equipment and experienced for the snow, wind, and unusually cold conditions predicted.
