Braddon voters will get a chance to hear from candidates in next month’s state election at a candidates forum at Wynyard on March 10, less than a fortnight before the March 23 poll.
The forum will be held at the Wynyard Wharf Hotel at 2 pm.
Local resident Corey Speers is one of a group of people who also organised forums for candidates in the 2022 Local Government elections and the 2021 Federal Election.
Mr Speers says the forum will give those attending a chance to question candidates and make a more informed vote.
He says with the Lower House set to return to from 25 to 35 seats, there’ll be a number of new candidates and the political landscape in Braddon is likely to change considerably.
Candidate nominations close on with the Tasmanian Electoral Commission on February 29th.
