The man who sexually abused Grace Tame as a schoolgirl has faced court on harassment charges.
On Tuesday morning, former science teacher Nicholaas Ockert Bester entered pleas of not guilty to three counts of using a carriage service to menace, harass or cause offence.
He’s alleged to have posted Tweets relating to and directed to Ms Tame in April last year.
The Australian of the Year was present to observe the proceedings and made no comment to media on leaving the court.
The matter will remain in the Magistrates court, where it will return for a contest mention on April 27.
Magistrate Andrew McKee continued Bester’s conditional bail until that date.
