Armed robbery at Glenorchy

Police are seeking public information surrounding an armed robbery at Glenorchy last night.

Around 8.15pm, a teenager entered a store on Brent Street and threatened the staff member on duty.

The offender – who was allegedly armed with a knife – stole the cash register, a Microsoft Surface Pro and a printer, before fleeing the scene on foot.

He ran out of the store, across the car park and over Tolosa Street to another person.  It is believed the two people then ran down Vieste Drive where they discarded several of the stolen items.

The person who entered the store is described as 15-16 years old, around 178cm, of normal build, wearing a black hoodie with the hood pulled up, and a black mask covering his mouth and part way up his nose.

Police are actively investigating the incident and ask anyone who saw the offender or has information to come forward.
