455 new Covid-19 cases in Tasmania

Tasmania seems to be weathering the winter wave of Covid-19, with case numbers continuing to fall.

Public Health is reporting 455 new infections in the past 24 hours.

The figures a drop from 527 yesterday, and 651 the day before.

84 hospital patients have Coronavirus, 25 of those people being treated specifically for symptoms.

One person is being cared for in the ICU.

422 people are using the COVID@Homeplus program.

There have been 156 deaths since the pandemic first began in 2020.

Authorities are monitoring 4,325 active cases statewide, with more than half of those cases in the South.

There are 945 active cases in the North and another 894 in the North West.
