100 COVID patients in Tas hospitals

100 COVID-positive patients in Tasmania are now being treated in hospital, according to the latest figures from the Health Department released on Tuesday.

29 of those are being treated specifically for the virus, including two in the ICU.

The grim milestone comes as the state records another death and 1812 new cases – an infection count not seen since mid-April.

The number of active cases statewide sits at 9833.

Sadly, a woman in her 90’s has passed away from Covid-19.

She passed away in the South of the State, the woman’s death taking the state’s toll to 102 since the pandemic began.
