| MACCA’S ON YOUR TEAM BASKETBALL CAMPS RETURN WITH MORE LOCATIONS THESE SCHOOL HOLIDAYS Macca’s and Basketball Tasmania are partnering again to bring the ‘Macca’s On Your Team’ Basketball Camps to Tassie’s young basketballers these school holidays. As part of the extended partnership, ‘Macca’s On Your Team’ camps offer aspiring basketball players expert coaching, skill-building activities, and immersive basketball experiences to boost their abilities and confidence on the court. Accredited coaches from Basketball Tasmania will lead participants through drills and exercises tailored to each age group, focusing on improving shooting, ball-handling, and defensive skills for players of all levels. ‘The Macca’s On Your Team’ camps are designed for junior basketballers born between 2010-2015, These camps not only provide a platform for skill development but also encourage participants to stay active and build new friendships during their school holidays. The burgeoning success and escalating demand within the sport have led to the expansion of these camps into new locations. Now, aspiring basketball players have the chance to refine their skills, boost their confidence, and develop a deep-seated love for the game in West Ulverstone and Warrane. Basketball Tasmania Chief Executive Officer, Ben Smith, said the ‘Macca’s On Your Team’ camps perfectly fit the range of participation opportunities across basketball. “The ‘Macca’s On Your Team’ camps offer a fantastic opportunity for children to enjoy a range of exciting activities while developing new skills during their school holidays, helping to keep them energised and engaged throughout their break.
