Jagged Little Pill: The Musical
DoMaur Productions are a not for profit, black box community theatre company, who aim to provide opportunities for personal development and theatrical experience to individuals who are aspiring actors, or who wish to be involved in the performing arts in any role, at any age through special performances of plays which have literary and artistic , rather than a commercial value, for Tasmanian communities.
They are bringing Alanis Morissette’s Jagged Little Pill to Burnie Arts, starting on Friday the 13th of March. This is an exhilarating new musical; inspired by the themes and raw emotions laid bare in Alanis Morissette’s seminal album of the same name. The lyrics are by Alanis Morissette and music is by Alanis Morissette and Glen Ballard.
The Healy’s appear to be a picture-perfect suburban family but looks can be deceiving. When the cracks beneath the surface begin to show, they must choose between maintaining the status quo, or facing harsh truths about themselves, their community and the world around them.
