Ferret Races at the Burnie Central Townhouse
The Rotary Club of Burnie West will be hosting their annual ferret races, on Sunday the 24th of March from 11am to 4:30pm, at the Burnie Central Townhouse Hotel.
There will be Calcutta’s and Sweeps on all events, raffles and auctions as well as having food and beverages available.
All funds raised will go towards the purchase of anew Mazda CX-30 for Burnie resident Matty Dunn.
The Rotary Club of Burnie West were approached by Matty’s Nan, with a request for support. Matty has just gained his learner’s driver licence – an achievement that represents far more than learning to drive. For Matty, this milestone symbolises independence, confidence, and the opportunity to participate more fully in everyday life and in his community. Like many young people, he dreams of freedom and connection, but his journey includes additional challenges due to living with Fanconi Anemia, a rare genetic condition that requires ongoing medical care and thoughtful support.
The Rotary Club Of Burnie West in conjunction with Burnie Mazda will be providing Matty with a near new demo model car at no cost to him at all.
