Shakespeare’s Macbeth is coming to Burnie.

Following a bloody battle, Macbeth and his comrade Banquo encounter three Weird Sisters who deliver a chilling prophecy: Macbeth will one day be king.

Unable to escape the thought of power, Macbeth tells his wife, Lady Macbeth. Driven by an insatiable hunger for power, posterity and certainty, they commit a murder that sets in motion a terrifying unravelling of their sanity.

With blood on their hands, they must face the devastating consequences of their actions.

A powerful and haunting portrayal of moral collapse, ambition and the darkest parts of humanity, Peter Evans’ Macbeth, starring Anthony Taufa in the title role, takes audiences on an intense journey into Shakespeare’s timeless tragedy.
