The actress has broken her silence on the heartbreaking final years of her partner’s life.
Sandra Bullock has opened up about the devastating loss of her longtime partner, Bryan Randall, who died in 2023 after a private battle with ALS.
Speaking on the SmartLess podcast, Bullock described the experience of watching Randall’s health decline as “traumatic”.
The actress had kept his diagnosis private, meaning she had very few people she could turn to while caring for him.
Bullock said her grieving process actually began long before Randall died, as ALS slowly changed the person she knew.
She explained that by the time he passed away, she felt like “her person” had already left.
Finally talking about it
Bullock and Randall had been together since 2015 and largely kept their relationship out of the spotlight.
Three years after his death, the actress is now opening up about the experience and the grief she carried throughout those final years.
It’s an incredibly heartbreaking reminder that sometimes grief begins long before we actually say goodbye.
