Vinnies Community Sleepout
Come together again this winter for the annual Vinnies Sleepout to raise awareness of homelessness and funds to support services and programs run by the St Vincent de Paul Society.
Take part in something meaningful happening soon, the Vinnies Tasmania Community Sleepout in Burnie on Thursday the 18th of June until Sunday morning, on the 19th of June at West Park Oval.
It’s a chance to step up against homelessness by spending one night outdoors, experiencing in a small way what far too many people in our community face every day. It’s a confronting and humbling experience, but also a powerful way to make a real difference.
Homelessness can happen to anyone, and right now more people in North West Tasmania are at risk than ever before.
This year, the goal is to raise $20,000 to support vital services including shelter, food, and ongoing assistance for people who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Everyone is welcome to take part, and there’s no minimum fundraising requirement, every contribution helps. Participants are encouraged to fundraise if they can, to help Vinnies provide life-changing support to those who need it most.
By giving up your bed for one night, you’re helping others move closer to having one of their own.
