Tresillian North Intensive Parenting Unit

Tasmania’s Health Minister has joined the launch of the Tresillian North Intensive Parenting Unit in Launceston today.

Minister Archer describing how it’ll support families in the North and North West during a child’s first one thousand days of life.

“This will deliver important services for new families, we know what a challenging time it can be when you first have a baby and everything that comes from that, whether that’s settling, feeding, sleeping, all of those things, all of those changes and adjustments that happen in your life.”

“In addition to day service appointments, mothers and babies needing a more intensive level of support will have access to a residential four-night, five-day program in the care of expert child health nurses, with their children aged from newborn to three years.

“We are delivering for Tasmania by investing in the accessible, family-centred care our communities need.”
