Tasmania Devils Football Club CEO Brendon Gale has officially started his new role as the head of the AFL’s newest team, fittingly where his football career started, at Penguin.
Gale, the former Richmond CEO, Tasmania Devils chair Grant O’Brien hosted a function at the Dial Regional Sports Centre last night.
They were joined by Tasmanian-born AFL legends Alistair Lynch and Jack Reiwoldt, as well as AFLW Sydney Swans forward Sarah Skinner, a North-West Coaster, who also played with Devonport and Burnie women’s teams.
Earlier in the day, the trio conducted a free junior clinic for 5-12 year-olds at Heywood’s Reserve, the home of the East Ulverstone Crows.
The Crows, who play in the NWFA, will have a junior team for the first time this year, which will join the NWFL junior competition along with the Somerset Football Club, which will also field juniors for the first time in the club’s history.
The Tasmania Devils will also host a stakeholder luncheon in Devonport today, with an on-line update on the club’s website on March 6th.
