A development application for the proposed $60 million Devonport Sports Precinct will go before the Devonport Council at next Monday night’s monthly meeting for October.

Devonport-based construction firm Fairbrother has been announced as the tenderer for the project, with work expected to start early next year and be completed by March 2026.

The project is being funded with $25 million from each of the Federal and State Governments and $10 million from the council.

The precinct, adjacent to the Devonport Oval, will cater for six different sports, with shared social and function rooms, administration facilities and high performance training areas.

Devonport Mayor Alison Jarman says it will be a game changer for Devonport, but will also benefit the wider North-West Coast.
