More than 300 of the state’s best brass band players will descend on Burnie this weekend for the Tasmanian Bands League state championships.
The titles will be held at the Parklands High School, with the street march component of the championships to be held at the Burnie Cenotaph on Sunday from 11.50 am to 1.10 pm.
The weekend’s competition will consist of concert bands on Saturday and brass bands on Sunday, featuring bands from Ulverstone, Devonport, Burnie, Hobart Glenorchy and the Derwent Valley.
