Earlier today, during the Xbox Games Showcase and Starfield Direct Double Feature, Xbox showed its most ambitious line-up of games yet. While the games that were on display showed amazing worlds and characters with impressive graphics, the real hero of the presentation was something we’ve had for years.
That something was…
Xbox Game Pass.
oh, and a little game that has to be one of the most anticipated titles of the last few years STARFIELD from the award-winning creators of Skyrim and Fallout 4 and that launches on September 6, 2023 and will be available on day one via Xbox Game Pass. WATCH this deep dive to get a full look at what to expect from this expansive title.
Seeing the world premiere of South of Midnight
and Clockwork Revolution the time-bending steampunk first-person RPG.
The brilliant Richard Ayoade even made a CGI appearance, leading a comically funny reveal of the upcoming Fable game. It was more than enough to get us excited about the future of this brilliant franchise.
There were also updates on regular players like the Microsoft Flight Simulator franchise and Out of the Blue Sea of Thieves: The Legend of Monkey Island.
Show Stealer was the upcoming Star Wars game from Ubisoft called Star Wars: Outlaws. It was a beautiful recreation of the universe with a game that looks true to the franchise and epic in scale and we’ll be playing it in 2024.
Even some more indie-type reveals were more impressive than usual. Like the massive 33-player co-op raid title 33 Immortals which will be a day one Game Pass release.
What is a showcase these days without introducing a new console, Xbox did just that (sort of).
A new Xbox Series-S Console was revealed that is black in colour and now sports a much larger 1tbs of storage, to be fair, something it should have come with in the first place, but hey, still cool right?
There was so much to unpack from this giant double showcase and one thing it’s shown us that the talk in recent weeks of Xbox not having much coming out in the next year has been hushed and instead been diverted to “I can’t wait for”.
