Fernando do Campo :Yet to live in a place without house sparrows
31 January to 15 March 2020
An exhibition including an installation of small text paintings, 'Yet to live in a place without house sparrows' and the diptych about spotted turtle-doves, 'You are my new infatuation'.
Tasmanian-specific experiences of introduced bird species and the colonial /nationalistic/ migratory effect they produce.
The exhibition will also include new works specific to Burnie, sparrows or other introduced birds to Tasmania including the kookaburra - introduced in 1902.
