Beaconsfield's days of being without a physical bank are coming to an end as Bendigo Bank moves closer to opening an agency in Spring.
The Bank of Heritage Isle closed its branch in the West Tamar town in early May, going to an online only presence.
Bendigo Bank Regional Manager for Tasmania, Martyn Neville is finding the appetite for personal service is strong.
"Personal service is important for advice or transactions, so we very much want to provide that, service like this is really important to a town because it keeps people shopping and doing their business locally, so if we can provide that service, it really supports the broader business community as well."
He expects locals will find their needs covered.
"We're the 5th biggest bank in Australia, we have the whole range of products, we deal with farmers, we deal with small business, we deal with large business, we deal with mum and dads, we're really confident we offer a range that will suit all the varieties of people in the Beaconsfield area."
