Police suspect knives were used to threaten and rob a taxi driver in the state's north late last night.
The taxi was flagged down by two men on South Esk Road in Trevallyn at about 11.40pm.
It's alleged two knives were produced to threaten the driver, forcing him to hand over his wallet, including a sum of cash.
He was left shaken but unhurt.
Police are describing the alleged offenders as both in theirs 20s with slim builds, wearing hoodies, gloves and had their faces covered.
