The Taste of Tasmania is today unveiling its full line-up of food and beverage producers who will gather at Princes Wharf to tempt crowds from December 28th to January 3rd.
93 producers will be serving up a range of BBQ meats and seafood, cheese, berries, cool-climate wines, craft beers and ciders, gin and whisky.
Earlier this year devastating bushfires tore through the Tasmanian landscape and decimated the state's honey production, so this year’s Taste features a special programme planned to support the local beekeeping industry and raise awareness.
Festival Director Brooke Webb says bees are important in the eco-system, that without them, the Taste festival wouldn't be here.
"In support of the Bees and the honey producers, the entire festival village will be transformed into a metaphoric beehive that reflects the strong, resilient and generous communities that live here in Tasmania.” she said.
"We really want to give back to the community that went through such tough times in January 2019."
